We require English or German language skills on such a level that participants are able to communicate and express themselves, understand complex and professional topics, and are able to fulfil assigned tasks in either English or German, depending on the course language. When registering for a course, please take notice of the language it is offered in.

I need free of charge child care for my children; please write down the name(s) and age(s) of your child(ren) and the expected care times during the summer university:
Fees / Missing fee

Students and unemployed are charged a one-time fee of 40 Euro for a participation in the summer universities.
Those who would like to support the conference office for approximately 4 hours do not need to pay for participation and should send a written application.
Employed women pay a fee of 40 Euro per day.
The fee is due immediately after the confirmation of participation. Within the confirmation mail you will receive a date limit for your payment.
If Bremen University does not receive the money until that date, your course places will be cancelled for you and forwarded to others. You will receive an email with a confirmation, when your fee payment arrived in Bremen.
All lecture series can be visited for free.

Employment:
Scholarships

This year preferably students can receive grants for travel and accommodation.

Your application for a grant has to be filled out here. Additionally, you need to write an application. Send it via email within 5 days after your registration to the organisators at Bremen University.

Cancelation / Missing fee
We urgently ask you to inform us immediately about cancelations, so that we can give the place in courses to other students. If a participant is registered in a course, but does not appear and not cancel her registration in advance, a missing-fee of 40 Euros with be charged per course. To cancel please send your mail to ifis-summerschools@uni-bremen.de.
Application procedure

The application is for one person each. The incoming of the application will be confirmed directly via email of the University of Bremen.

The distribution of places will start directly after the incoming of applications. Your application will be checked for completeness and overlaps in time.

Your course places will be finally confirmed via email. Only with this 2nd email your course places are guaranteed.

At the same time you will receive the invoice as well as organizational information and scholarship decision if necessary.

Preparation material will be sent by the lecturers directly.

Please send an email to the address below if you haven’t received a 2nd email within 5 working days.
