4th Summer University for Women in Engineering

 

 

 

The opening of Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni will take place on Monday, 13th August 2012 at 5 p.m.

 

From August 13th until August 24th, 2012, courses and workshops of different lengths will be offered.

 

The Ingenieurinnen-Sommeruni combines courses in the following fields:

- Basic methods

- Material flow and new materials

- Product development and quality management

- Microelectronics

- Robotics and technical networks

- Gender competence

- Writing skills

- Professional skills


You will find courses with one-week and half-a-week length, as well as short workshops. There are specific courses for student beginners as well as for advanced students and for practitioners who wish to get further education on a current academic level.

 

The daily closing consists of a public talk in the context of a lecture series.

 

A JobForum with international companies and a talks from recuiting officers will be presented on Wednesday, 22th August 2012. In the evening we will present the 2nd Women MINT-Slam.

 

Last but not least culture and sports offers perfect your stay in Bremen.

 

We invite you to the networking party with current participants and alumni as well as lecturers on Saturday, 18th of August, starting at 7.30 p.m. at the guesthouse Teerhof of Bremen University.

On the final day of the summer university a closing plenary will give an overview on the results and a comprehensive discussion.

 

Students and unemployed are charged a one-time fee of 35 Euro for a participation of two weeks. Employed women pay a fee of 35 Euro a day. During the entire summer university, childcare is provided for free. For more information, see our FAQ-overview.


During the summer university and the following weeks until november we plan several evaluations and kindly ask for the support by lecturers and participants.
